Happy Monday! Philip took the day off work today and what a glorious sunny warm day it’s been so far. We both got up kind of early, well not too early its a holiday after all. We went on a 6k jog to Burlington’s downtown area. It was a bit hot out but nothing unbearable. It’s kind of nice jogging together as most times we work out at separate times due to work schedules. Philip will work tomorrow and then we have another holiday here in Canada, it’s Canada day on Wednesday!
After my jog this morning I needed revitalizing and what better way than eating a bowl of nutritious fresh fruits. This summer berry smoothie bowl is both refreshing and flavorful and makes me so happy. It’s the simple things in life that do that.
This smoothie contains, bananas, Strawberries, Blackberries and blue berries with 1/4 cup of coconut vanilla yoghurt. The smoothie bowl is topped with 1/2 mango, a hand full of fruit and nut granola 4 blackberries, 2 strawberries and a handful of blueberries.
I just love blueberries and blackberries!
I just love my Vitamix blender, it is used on a daily basis for most of my recipes. It makes life so much easier not having to worry if it’s going to blend your ingredients.
Pour your blended smoothie into a bowl and top with all your toppings.
Enjoy the goodness and taste of all that fresh fruits and nuts!
