Happy Thursday everyone! Our Sound of Music Festival is officially here. We are going to ride our bikes down and take a look at whats going on, oh maybe have a quick pint in the local too! Today’s post is a very quick one after a long day at work on this sticky hot day I needed a refreshing drink.
What’s more refreshing than watermelon! I made a kiwi watermelon smoothie, watermelon is considered a nutrient dense food. It provides a high amount of minerals, vitamins and antitoxidants for a low amount of calories. It has a refreshing sweet taste to help combat the heat.
Kiwi Watermelon Smoothie

Ingredients
- 1½ cups diced watermelon
- 1 kiwi peeled and halved
- 1 date pitted
- 1 cup ice
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix or a high power blender.
- Select variable 1
- Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to 10 then high.
- Blend for about 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
- If using a different blender it may take longer to blend.
