Had a great time in Toronto for The Colonel Toms CD release party at the Cameron House. Despite the very heavy down pour of rain we had. It literally thrashed it down most of the day. A couple times we got soaked while walking to and from dinner. It was also very cold like 8C so coupled with that rain it was awful! However once inside the Cameron house it was a very delightful evening. The band was very appreciative of everyone’s support and played three awesome sets until the wee hours of the morning (2am)
After the show we had to walk back to our hotel in the pouring rain and got soaked! Why we didn’t decide to hail a cab I’ll never know. But once back at the hotel we snuggled up in a big bed and called it a night. All didn’t go that well in the morning though. We were woken up at the crack of dawn with the load and horrific sound of drilling into concrete in the room above. apparently the hotel is going through a 90million renovation and forgot to mention that there could be noise. I put in a complaint and we were offered complimentary buffet breakfasts! Thanks Hotel Sheraton Toronto. I had a great selection of fresh fruits and oatmeal.
Well as you know despite last nights weather, we have had a mini heat wave so whats a better way of cooling down with some fun yummy berry spinach Popsicles! These popsicles are made with fresh fruits and greens not like your store bought sugary, syrupy ones.
The first one of us to taste them was Ethan and he just loved it. We didn’t tell him about the “hidden” ingredients though he he.
I like to use frozen mixed berries for these popsicles. You have a mixture of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries all oh so yummy! You could use fresh berries if you like.
