Hello everyone, it’s been a hectic first week back to school and work. It’s been a fantastic summer but I really do believe fall is upon us. This weekend it rained and was around 12C all weekend. Time for some nice warm dishes and sitting by a nice warm fire. With summer over we can now get into a regular schedule of recipes.
What a crazy and hectic day, first day back to school for the kids and my first day back to work. The weather didn’t cooperate, it had to rain. All the children dressed in their new school clothes were getting wet, so they had to bring them in the gym where I run my program. They always look so cute and handsome that first day with their new haircuts, clean clothes and shiny bright faces. They are so excited to see friends and teachers.
What a hectic day, yes I can tell school is fast approaching. I was busy in meetings most of today. I spent much of the afternoon doing paperwork, going through the children’s files making sure everything is in order. Tomorrow I will be at school checking out the room for my program and making sure all my supplies are there. Oh let the fun begin. Philip on the other hand has been off since Friday of last week, works tomorrow Thursday and then has the long weekend off. It’s labor day weekend and Rib fest in Burlington. Not something that we actually like but they have live music and stuff.
Hi everyone, we are back from our relaxing 4 day camping holiday. What great weather we had, sunny and hot every day. We stayed at our now favorite camping site in Georgian bay Craigleith Provincial Camping site. We enjoyed biking, Kayaking and swimming in the beautiful clear Georgian Bay waters. It was the first camping trip with our new truck Brutus what a comfortable ride it is lots of room packed with everything we needed. pulling our trailer was a dream, so easy it didn’t chug like our small Jeep did.
Sorry we missed a post yesterday, but while camping in our favourite spot we just get rapped up enjoying life 🙂 We went on a hike at Walters falls just south of Thornbury ON. It’s only a small falls but nice none the less. It was a bit of a trek down to a good vantage point for photographs but Philip managed it though the mud and water. He didn’t want to miss “the shot”
Hooray we decided to go camping at our favourite place Craigleith Provincial park just outside of Thornbury. We took our new Ford F150 pickup truck Brutus. It was so nice driving the new truck compared to our old Jeep it wasn’t even like we were pulling a trailer at all it’s so powerful and not that bad on gas. Once we arrived here and were all set up we went for our usual pint at the Dam pub in Thornbury, so nice and relaxing great people, great pints. The weather is supposed to be super nice all weekend so we’ll probably get some kayaking, some hiking and some bike riding in.
